Flex Billing Service
The ChargePoint Network gives you the flexibility to choose if your charging stations are accessed for free, or for a fee. If you choose the for-fee option, the Flex Billing Service automatically collects money, on your behalf, from drivers and deposits it into your bank account. You set pricing using the Station Manager through an easy to use web interface and the network takes care of the rest. All you need is a ChargePoint Charging Station that is connected to the ChargePoint Network.
How it works:

Step 1:
Use the ChargePoint Network Station Manager to set pricing on a per time basis (similar to a parking meter). You can offer free or reduced pricing for preferred customers during business hours, fee-based parking outside of business hours, or vary fees based on individuals or by groups. |
Step 2:
The charging station will pre-authorize a driver’s access over the ChargePoint Network. Drivers can access a ChargePoint Charging station using ChargePass™ RFID cards or major contactless credit cards. Customers without a RFID based access card can contact the 24/7 driver telephone support number to use all other major credit cards. The charging station will only energize for an authorized driver eliminating energy theft, and enhancing safety. |

Step 3:
When a driver returns to the station to end their charging session, the charging station will debit the cardholder’s account with the appropriate amount. Charging session fees are recorded for the station owner. |

Step 4:
On a monthly basis, recorded charging session fees are automatically forwarded to the station owner’s bank account. |
