Coulomb Technologies to Showcase the First Advanced Technology SAE J1772 Networked Charging Stations for Plug-in Vehicles

Standards Based Level 2 High Power Networked Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles on Display at EDTA Show December 2-4, 2008 in Washington, DC

Washington, DC (December 2, 2008) – Coulomb Technologies today announced they will bring advanced standards-based charging technology to plug-in vehicles.  Coulomb will showcase prototypes of Level-2 high power networked charging stations, to be sold by Coulomb Technologies' distributors that will comply with the SAE J1772 Electric Vehicle Conductive Charge Coupler Specification.  The Coulomb Level-2 high power networked charging stations featuring prototype SAE J1772 connectors will be showcased at the EDTA conference December 2 – 4, 2008 at the Washington, DC Convention Center booth 810.

"Now plug-in vehicles will be standardized with the same charging connector.  This ensures that drivers of the new generation of electric vehicles will have a place to charge them," said Richard Lowenthal, chief executive officer at Coulomb Technologies.
