• What makes it cool? “This is the first charging station in Geneva, and we think it’s the first of many more to come,” Geneva Director of Community Development Dick Unch said. The county funded the station through a federal block grant. It is part of a larger county effort that included an electric vehicle infrastructure ordinance to address future charging station issues. “A charging station in front of your business makes good economic sense,” Unch said.

• What makes it cool:  The car: owned by myself operates off 84v of lead acid golf cart batteries, uses an original GE series wound motor, uses tiller-steering and speed-control and hits a top speed of about 25mph on the flat.  I’ve owned the car for a few years now.  There are about 50 Milburns remaining (of about 5000 built between 1914 and 1923) and something less than 400 early electrics overall.
