The rousing interest in electric vehicles was highlighted this past week with the announcement of an exclusive partnership agreement with Coulomb Technologies and Charge ChargePoint Pty Ltd in Australia.
Coulomb is thrilled to announce the agreement with ChargePoint, where a series of pilot projects will be kick started in the new year in the cities of Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.
The partnership was broadcast to the media, with a flurry of interviews both here and in Australia with newspapers and online news sites covering the story.
ChargePoint Pty Ltd is fronted by a young Aussie e-mobility entrepreneur, Luke Grana, whose interest in the EV industry was sparked on a working holiday in the UK in 2007.
Luke and his team are currently in discussions with potential partners to bring the technology to businesses and consumers. The first EV is due to arrive in Australia in 2010.
As part of Luke’s efforts to generate interest in ChargePoint in the local market, he presented at the Electric Vehicle Conference in Brisbane, Australia. Luke rubbed shoulders with some heavyweights in the industry and gave a speech to representatives from industry, government, councils, utilities, scientists and academics. The ChargePoint team were excited to be offered this opportunity to meet with stakeholders and potential partners.
