- What makes it cool? Entergy Corporation funded and donated 16 electric vehicle charging stations at college campuses in and around Entergy’s four-state service area. The charging stations were donated to LSU through a $160,000 grant by Entergy’s Environmental Initiatives Fund. Entergy is currently working with other universities in Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas to donate additional electric vehicle charging stations throughout the region. Installation of the charging stations was completed by Verdek, Coulomb’s south central regional distributor.
“Electric vehicles are gaining widespread attention and being embraced as an important technology solution for the nation’s energy future. We know that the infrastructure must be in place to support the evolution of the technology, and we hope Entergy’s donation of EV chargers to LSU will help start that process for the southern region,” said LSU Chancellor; Bill Mohl. “This program is part of our deeper commitment to support technologies that foster environmental sustainability and provide for clean, efficient and affordable power for today and tomorrow.”

- What makes it cool? Our very first corporate customer was Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in Chico, Calif. Coulomb’s charging stations are an important part of Sierra Nevada’s sustainability initiatives that include solar, fuel cells, recycling, energy efficiency, water conservation and transportation improvements.

Entergy Arkansas, Inc. along with the Clinton School of Public Service and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) launched two new electric car charging stations in Little Rock. Through Entergy’s Environmental Initiatives Fund, the company has partnered with Coulomb Technologies to fund the cost and installation of 16 electric vehicle charging stations at college campuses in and around Entergy’s service area. The charging stations, located at the Clinton School of Public Service and UAMS were donated through a $160,000 grant by Entergy’s Environmental Initiatives Fund.

- What makes it cool? It’s mounted on a chairlift! Stevens Pass Resort is the owner of the nation’s first mountain-pass electric vehicle charging stations. (Also, being a ski resort it is literally cool as well). The resort’s two new chargers along U.S. Highway 2 in Washington’s central Cascade Mountain Range are only public units located at a ski resort anywhere in the Western U.S. Nearly empty batteries will require four-to-six to fully charge– perfect for a day of skiing or mountain biking at the resort or hiking from the trailhead of the Pacific Crest Trail. The Stevens Pass stations are available to the public 24 hours a day, every day of the year with restrooms nearby and reliable cell phone coverage.
